Grid Solutions I is a one-day course designed to help computer mappers develop surface models that
are 80% correct. The presentation emphasizes an analysis of data type, surface form and desired result
when picking the workflow and tool to use when building the grid. The student is taught what to expect
from each gridding workflow and when to stop gridding and to start tuning the created grid (see Grid Solutions II).
Workflows are used throughout.
The workflows are simplified by using a set of macros that present only required gridding parameters and use "proper" parameter defaults.
The course format consists of short introductory lectures interspersed with lab sessions demonstrating the use of the workflows and tools.
