| Duration: |
One (1) day |
| Class Type: |
Short lectures with many exercises on the computer |
| Who is qualified: |
Experienced Z-MAP Plus users (an intro Z-MAP Plus course and two months of hands-on Z-MAP Plus in the last year) - basic geologic terms related to faults and structures must be understood |
| Who should attend: |
Anyone who wants to understand how to build geologically acceptable faulted structures in Z-MAP Plus; who has had problems with reversals of vertical separation or the balancing of vertical separations at fault bifurcations in grids created by Z-MAP Plus; or who has spent days in the editor fixing grid, generated structure contours near faults. |
| What will they Learn: |
- Procedures available in Z-MAP Plus for modeling and analyzing faulted structures
- To build faulted structures and correct fault related problems in those structures using vertical separation in Point Gridding Plus
- To capture vertical separation from interpreted seismic structures
- To create center-line faults from fault polygons
- To analyze a faulted grid or faulted seismic interpretation for reversals in vertical separation
- To use isochores to migrate faults and structures
