Subsurface Computer Modeling, Inc.Z-MAP Plus Macro Writing
Duration: Two-Three (2-3) days
Class Type: Short lectures with many exercises on the computer
Who is qualified: Experienced Z-MAP Plus users (an intro Z-MAP Plus course and two months of hands-on Z-MAP Plus in the last year) - experience with the "vi" editor or another UNIX text editor is required.
Who should attend: Any Z-MAP Plus user who makes repetitive (non-editing) use of the same Z-MAP Plus tasks for the purpose of map generation, grid generation, or volume calculation.
What will they Learn:
  • To write simple macros which chain together several Z-MAP Plus tasks, asking for input parameters and files, and creating one or more files
  • To avoid common pitfalls and other hazards encountered when writing macros
  • To recognize ZCL and MACRO syntax errors and correct them
  • To use some advanced features such as Loops, Branches, Data Blocks, and Data Block Utilities
  • To efficiently organize tasks inside a macro
